URGENT: Mandisa Katy has a HUGE bladderstone!
I've noticed for a couple of days that Mandisa was urinating a lot. Many times, small amounts. This typically means bladder infection or worse. We put her on antibiotics in case it was an infection. Yesterday, there was blood in her urine and I watched her try to go for at least one full minute with absolutely no production. So, into the car she went (I was supposed to go pick up a Bichon for another rescue, but...) and down to the vet.
The urinalysis showed an insignificant amount of bacteria so we did the next step - an x-ray. HUGE bladderstone practically filling the bladder. Poor baby. So, needs surgery right now.
The total cost, including x-rays, surgery and post-op hospitalization is around $950. HELP! I'm still trying to raise funds for little Carme's broken leg, and now this. This is a desperate need! Please help so Mandisa can get better!
Mandisa is also scheduled for surgery on her eyes just before Thanksgiving. We'll need another $300 for that so I'm rolling that into this plea. I hope you don't mind.
We need a total of $1250 to get her whole and up for adoption.
